Kimi K3, free for everyone this week
Moonshot's 1M-token-context flagship is in the model menu — and until July 23 it costs nothing, on every account.
Kimi K3 is Moonshot's new flagship: a one-million-token context window and reasoning that is always on, at full depth, before every step it takes. Most models make that trade-off configurable; K3 refuses to answer without thinking first.
That fits what a Clusy session is. When the agent plans an experiment, writes the cells, runs them, and reads the results, the transcript grows fast — data schemas, training logs, tracebacks, the three branches you tried before the one that worked. A model that can hold all of that at once, and reasons about it before each action, spends less of a long run re-deriving what it already knew.
Free for launch week
Through launch week, K3 is free for everyone on Clusy — every account, including free ones — and K3 turns don't draw down your usage allowance. Open the model selector, pick Kimi K3, and give it a real problem: a fine-tune, a messy dataset, a paper you want reproduced.
The free window ends on July 23 at 00:00 UTC. After that, K3 stays in the lineup on paid plans, alongside the other open models.
K3 is days old and in demand at the source; if a turn fails at peak, Clusy retries and tells you.
